Dora

Born 18 years ago into a family with a long-standing artistic tradition, Dora started to show a natural talent for music at an early age. She took her first piano classes at age five, and by nine years, she was already making her own versions of songs she heard at home, including classics by Ella Fitzgerald and Kendrick Lamar. At the age of 11, her unique artistic sensitivity amazed thousands of listeners on her YouTube channel. One year later, she enrolled as the main singer with the Creativa Junior Big Band, a group that played at several venues and festivals, such as the Madrid Jazz Festival. Their versions of jazz and R’n’B classics captivated and amazed the audience. Dora began to compose her own songs at 13, and the pop and electronic music producer Pional (John Talabot, The XX, Empress Of, The Rapture) decided to collaborate with her on her first record.

With nine singles and one EP launched to date, Dora has also reached more than 11 million streams on Spotify and about the same number on YouTube, making her much more than a promising youngster. Saving Star and Call Me Back, her first and second singles, are part of the soundtrack of the series Élite(Season 2), an international success on Netflix. Call Me Back also forms part of the soundtrack of The house of flowers (Netflix). Her two most recent tracks, Ojos de serpiente and Stay, are further examples of the unbiased mixture of pop, RnB, soul, and indie electronic music that characterizes Dora’s sound. Ojos de serpiente, a neo-bolero with touches of electronic music, with a video clip directed by Paco León, was chosen for the series Skam (Movistar) and presented live in a recent episode of the talent show OT.

The video for Stay was filmed in Barcelona by the famous producer CANADA and her latest track, Oxena, was included by Pitchfork in its top 10 for September 2020.

On 9 July 2021, she presented her musical repertoire live at the BBK Live, Firestone stage, broadcasted live with streaming technology due to the pandemic.

Throughout 2022, Dora has participated in international festivals such as Eurosonic (Netherlands). She was nominated as the best new talent in Europe and appeared on the prestigious show, The Great Escape in the UK.

Rainbow is her acting debut, where she plays the part of Dora.
